Vessel Loading & Discharge
We operate a berthing window mode of operations at the quay side, eliminating delays before berth and upon completion of operations.
All moves are logged and tracked by handheld computers, and processed via the Terminal Operating System. All the operators/clerks are able to have real time graphical representation of the vessel. This helps with speed and accuracy in vessel load and discharge operation, and results in successful completion of the process within the targeted berthing window.
We strive for operational efficiency and optimal productivity at all times.
We calculate our overall productivity based on end-to-end (start of unlashing / end of lashing) Port operations.
Our focus is on delivering the shortest overall turnaround time for vessels calling our Terminal. To this purpose, we have effective collaboration with our Shipping Lines and Lines’ agents before, during and after each vessel operation.
We strive to continually improve our data exchange between partners to ensure effective planning and optimal use of resources. In support to seamless vessel operation, we maintain focus on scheduled preventive maintenance for our container handling equipment.

Reefer containers are sensitive consignments to us.
We treat them with special care that they require.
These containers are used for the transportation of cargo that need to be preserved at specific temperatures. Reefer containers are managed by a dedicated team of professional reefer and electrical engineers.
Our electrical engineers ensure that power supply to reefer containers remains stable throughout the duration of the reefer container stay at our Terminal. Temperature logs are captured and stored in our TOS and regularly monitored via dashboard.
We are implementing Internet of Things (IoT) to improve data gathering and monitoring of your refrigerated cargoes.
We weigh ALL Full Export units
Always at your service to keep up with IMO SOLAS regulations. We weigh 100% of our Full Export containers. This means we have a certified weigh-bridge installed to offer weighing services to you. We do not want you to disrupt your logistics flow. Stuff the empties with your valuable cargoes and send them over to us. It is that simple!
We also accept declared VGM weight before container arrival or upon container gate-in into our Terminal.
All certified verified gross mass (VGM) obtained from our weigh-bridge is sent via electronic data interchange to the container operator.
Oversized Cargo
As part of value added services, we handle oversized cargoes / out-of-gauge cargoes for our Customers upon request. We understand your project may require such special consignment. We will not turn you down when called upon.
We have specialized equipment to handle the discharge from vessel to quay side, and onward loading onto your delivery trucks.
Dangerous Cargo (IMDG)
We handle Dangerous Cargo here at Tincan Terminal. However, it is our top priority to ensure conformity to established safety procedures and guidelines in the stowage and segregation of dangerous cargo in our yard – in line with ISPS requirements.
The different classes of dangerous cargo managed in the Terminal are as follows:
- Class 2: Flammable and non-flammable gases
- Class 3: Flammable liquids
- Class 4: Flammable solids
- Class 5: Oxidizing substances
- Class 6: Toxic and Infectious Substances
- Class 8: Corrosives
- Class 9: Miscellaneous Dangerous goods
IMDG consignments are carefully analyzed and stored at designated locations within the Terminal. We have adequate capacity and equipment to safely handle your dangerous cargo while at our Terminal.
